Applications
Why the SK40-IO Bag-in-Box Packaging Machine fits your production
The SK40-IO Bag-in-Box Packaging Machine is built for the nicotine pouch and snus segment, where product moisture, portion weight consistency and hygiene rules are stricter than in snack packaging. Rated output: 15–25 bags/min (single row). Product-contact parts are GMP-grade SUS304 stainless steel, and every sealing parameter — temperature, pressure, dwell time — is set per recipe so a format change does not become a trial-and-error session on the floor.
Who it fits: brands moving from manual or semi-automatic packing to their first automated line, contract packers adding oral-pouch capacity, and private-label producers who need documented, repeatable quality for EU and US buyers. If you are comparing this machine with others, judge three things side by side: realistic output at your portion weight, changeover time between formats, and how much of the line is tool-free to clean. Those three decide your cost per pouch far more than the peak speed on a datasheet.
Key features that matter on the floor
- Portion capacity — 0.4–0.6 g/bag, adjustable per recipe
- Dosing accuracy — ≤ ±10% — keeps fill-weight complaints and giveaway within tolerance
- Output — 15–25 bags/min (single row), with realistic line efficiency planned at 60–70% of rated speed
- Bag size range — L 30–50 mm × W 13 mm, film 30 mm — covers several SKUs without mechanical changeover
- Sealing system — Back-side, V 4 mm / H 4 mm
- Power supply — AC 220V / 50Hz, 2 KW
- Applications — Granules, Nicotine powder, Nicotine granules, Herbal powder
How it works, step by step
- Product feeding — prepared portions or granules are loaded into the feeder; wet and dry formats can run on the same line with separate dosing paths.
- Dosing — the target weight is set per recipe (for example 0.55 g on the SK350), with accuracy held within ±10% at full speed.
- Bag forming — laminated film is drawn from the reel and formed into the pouch shape; film width in the spec table defines the pouch size range.
- Filling and sealing — heat or ultrasonic sealing closes the pouch; seal geometry (for example the 45° diagonal mesh back seal) is chosen per format for tear-open behaviour.
- Inspection — on 4th-generation models, intelligent vision inspection checks seal integrity and pouch count without slowing the line.
- Collection — finished pouches are counted and conveyed to the next stage, ready for cartoning on a complete line.
Steps 1–6 run continuously; the operator's daily work is loading film and product, not touching the sealing process.
Installation, compliance and after-sales
To quote accurately we need four things: your product and portion weight, target output per minute, the bag format you want (or a photo of a competitor's pack), and your plant voltage and compressed-air supply. With those, the quotation includes the line layout, film specification and delivery scope.
Every machine is tested and accepted at our 20,000 m² factory in Zhongshan, Guangdong, before dispatch. We ship with CE documentation, commission by remote video call in your working language, and stock spare parts for fast dispatch — the same parts list is used across our platforms, which keeps maintenance simple. PouchMfg is the oral-pouch machinery brand of PACKMATE (GUANGDONG) Co., Ltd., exporting to 60+ countries.

Next step: send us your product weight, target output and bag format, and we will come back with a line layout, film specification and a quotation — usually within two working days. Contact the engineering team.
